Connections Nightclub is one of the old nightclubs in the Southern Hemisphere, so extending and refurbishing its layered history had to be deeply considered. It had a very diverse and dedicated patronage, so their sense of place needed to be respected. The lighting consultancy and design honoured the existing material remnants of the built spaces whilst introducing an industrial glam theme.

The extension of the nightclub included the creation of a new bar in an old fire ravaged space. Wall lights were installed to partially highlight the existing charred brickwork and a super glamorous ornate ceiling was created with recessed LED lighting to accentuate the project’s theme.

In keeping with all our hospitality projects all front of house lighting is mood dimmable, whether feature lights in theme or discrete functional luminaires. The back of house lighting is designed with low energy, highly functional task lighting.
