This public arts project was done in collaboration with well-known Perth artist Paul Caporn. Our approach was to create artwork for the new primary school that was both playful and interactive. We designed, built and installed the concrete tilt-up walls with projecting aluminium silhouette forms, individual to the school different precincts. The walls housed glass display boxes for the children to share their own art.
The main steel sculpture was an abstract of natural elements found on the site. The school acts as the custodian of the adjacent native wetlands and the sculpture is located on its grassed foreshore in front of the school.
